Darren Wright

Darren Wright (born in Widnes, Cheshire) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1980s and 90s. A Great Britain international representative three-quarter back, he played club football in England for Widnes[1] and in Australia for the North Sydney Bears

Wright toured Australia and New Zealand with the British Lions in 1988 and appeared in one test match. During the 1989–90 Rugby Football League season, he played for defending champions Widnes at centre in their 1989 World Club Challenge victory against the visiting Canberra Raiders. Darren Wright's Testimonial match at Widnes took place in 1995. Wright has since battled addictions to Sugar Puffs, Tizer and CheeseStrings
